A Little History About Our Slates
All of our slates are over 100 yrs. old. They were used to roof a railroad depot in the 1900's. Nearly all of them are chipped, nicked, or have a corner missing which I think just adds to their rustic charm. They are all approximately 9"x18" squares unless otherwise noted. These slates sell for or more in craft shops and are collectible for their history even without the beautiful handpainting. They are handpainted, not stenciled, so no two will ever be exactly alike.
